A – Accept reality
Accepting the problem is the first step towards finding the solution. You don’t have to agree with what is going on but at the same time you cannot deny it’s existence. For instance, just because you are not sexist doesn’t mean that sexism is not widely prevalent. Accepting it will let you identify what you can and cannot change.
B – Behave productively
When you arrive at acceptance, you will gain better control over your mind and body. It will be easier for you to make good choices that will help you resolve your issues without too much difficulty. Ensure that you don’t indulge in whining and self-pity because that will just make it harder to stay strong.
C – Control upsetting thoughts
Don’t let yourself wallow in your own darkness. Staying focused on the negative issues will only prevent you from moving forward. Decide on a few words that give you courage and keep repeating them in your mind when you are in a tough situation and this will keep you rooted in positive thoughts.
Just like your body needs to be exercised every day, your mind also needs time and exercise to become stronger and keep out any external toxicity. Here are some simple tips you can follow.
- Make sure no one else has control over you.
- There is no point in whining about what you can’t change.
- Remain open-minded at all times.
- Ensure that you are viewing things the right way.
- Be prepared for any eventuality.
- Concentrate on the bigger picture but don’t forget the details.
- Don’t put yourself down.

- Be happy with what you have.
- Never lose hope.
