The pineal gland is an endocrine gland located at the center of the brain. It is also referred to as the third eye.

This gland is responsible for the production of hormones that causes happiness, euphoria, civilized behavior, balanced emotions et cetera.

Often due to insufficient nutrition, pollution or left-brained thinking the pineal gland calcified.

In order to decalcify it we need to consume certain foods or drinks and perform some exercises that will reverse its effects.

1) Cut down meat intake. Heavy meat like beef or pork are acidic in nature. They cause a pH imbalance in your body which further calcifies the pineal gland.

2) Drink distilled or alkaline water. Distilled water removes the heavy metals and toxins from your body whereas alkaline water helps in restoring your body’s pH balance.

3) No Fluoride. Fluoride is extremely harmful for the human body. But sadly, tap water in the US is fluoridated. So drink distilled or alkaline water. And also remember to use non fluoridated toothpastes.

4) Avoid mercury. Mercury is extremely toxic. Most tooth fillings are based on mercury. If you have a mercury tooth filling, then you can ask a holistic dentist to remove it.

5) Consume herbs. Herbs like alfalfa, parsley or gotu kola have the ability to heal your system. You can consume them in the form of tea or by sprinkling them over salad. They can be smoked as well.

6) Use crystals. Crystals like amethyst, clear quartz, sodalite, and lapis lazuli can help in decalcifying the pineal gland. Meditate by placing a crystal on your brow chakra everyday.

7) Don’t light fluorescent bulbs. The pineal gland is sensitive to light. The standard fluorescent bulbs produce an unnatural light that harms the gland.

8) Think positive. This might sound like a cliché but it is a well known fact that thoughts affect out state of being. Negativity can have toxic effects.

9) Eat green vegetables. Alkaline foods supply essential nutrients to your pineal gland. They are electrifying as well as decalcifying.

10) Eat chlorophyll rich ‘superfoods’. Foods like blue-green algae, sea moss or wheat grass are rich in chlorophyll. Somewhat like vegetables but they are more potent healers.

11) Sungazing. The pineal gland, being a crystal getys activated by the sun. Take in the sun’s energy for 5 minutes everyday when the light is orange (in the evening or early morning).
