∼I am certain that I have been here as I am now a thousand times before, and I hope to return a thousand times. ∼

                                                             – Goethe

Reincarnation as we understand it is a sort of maturation process through which we can subsequently achieve salvation. It is most commonly believed that all that constitutes what is known as our capabilities reflect on what we did on our earth. The older we grow, the more frequently spiritual experiences occur to us. There are a few characteristics that define the fact that our soul has been reincarnated many times before.

  1. Recurrence of Dreams

Dreams reflect what may be going on in our unconscious mind, and while repetition of such dreams may signify trauma or fear it could also be reflections of past life experiences. There have been numerous instances of of people experiencing events and seeing persons long dead. Such dreams may feel eerily familiar and sometimes recognizable.

  1. Memories

There have been numerous instances of young children who have had memories that subsequently proved to be accurate with details from the past. While a majority of such memories could be attributed to misunderstandings, fantasies or memory incongruities. There are however, a certain amount proof that your precognitive memories are proof of your past life.

  1. Intuition

Intuition is the ability to balance the conscious and unconscious mind and to tap into our deeper wellsprings of primal wisdom and innate knowledge.  It is said that the more we soulfully mature, the more we are closer to returning to the ‘source’ (known also as nirvana, eternity, oneness) from which our Souls come from, and from which the collective unconscious  – a body of universal knowledge – exists.

  1. Deja Vu

Most of us at some point of time or the other have experienced deja vu. It usually consists of the feeling that the moment you are experiencing already has a prior moment in time before. Triggered by things like smells, sights and sounds deja vu may occur almost spontaneously. This could account for revealing past life experiences.

  1. Unexplained Phobias

Traumatic experiences in the past life can often leave behind residue of the same. This could culminate into unexplained phobias in the current life. There have been numerous instances when phobias existing from childhood have been linked to suppressed unconscious hitherto unexplained traumatic memories from the past.
